Journalism and Mass Communication
Introduction
The Global Open University, Nagaland has introduced the
following distance learning Master's Degree Programmes in
areas of Journalism and Mass Communication, Broadcast
Journalism, Photo Journalism, and Public Relations :
1. Two years Master of
Arts (M.A.) Degree in Journalism and Mass Communication
2. Two years Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Broadcast
Journalism
3. Two years Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Photo
Journalism
4. Two years Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in Public
Relations
Decentralised Examination
The examination for the Master's Degrees are conducted
twice a year in the last week of June and December every
year.

Study materials under
Self Instructional Mode (SIM) are ready for all the Degree
Programmes conducted by
The Global Open University, Nagaland for the benefit of the
admitted students.
Submission of
Assignments
All admitted students are required to submit assignments
in the form of Mini Project Reports on each of the subjects
being studied by them and for getting them evaluated.
New Subjects to be
added on a Continuing Basis
The Global Open University, Nagaland has decided to
update its curriculum on a continuing basis. The subjects
mentioned for different semesters in the following pages may
be changed should these be deemed necessary for enabling the
students to acquire necessary skills in the new and emerging
areas of Journalism and Mass Communication.
