Programmes on Library and Information Science

Introduction
The Global Open University, Nagaland has introduced the following distance learning Degree Programmes in areas of Library and Information Science :
1. One year Bachelor of Library Science (B.Lib.) Degree
2. One year Master of Library Science (M.Lib.) Degree

Decentralised Examination
The examination for the Bachelor's and the Master's Degrees in Library and Information Science are conducted twice a year in the last week of June and December every year. .

Salient Fatures of the Programmes
Study materials under Self Instructional Mode (SIM) are ready for all the Degree Programmes conducted by
The Global Open University, Nagaland for the benefit of the admitted students.

New Subjects to be Added on a Continuing Basis
The Global Open University, Nagaland has decided to update its curriculum on a continuing basis. The subjects mentioned for different semesters in the following pages may be changed should these be deemed necessary for enabling the students to acquire necessary skills in the new and emerging areas of Library as well as Information Science.

M.phil. Degree in Library science
The Global Open University, Nagaland has launched the M.Phil. Degree in Library Science for all those who have successfully completed Master of Library Science (M.Lib.) Degree.
